John Sigerson conducting LaRouche Youth Movement
EIRNS/Gene Schenk
John Sigerson conducting LaRouche Youth Movement chorus, performing Bach Motet, ‘Jesu Meine Freude,’ in Jan. 2005,in Washington, D.C,

One of the Schiller Institute’s many accomplishments over the past two and a half decades has been to bring beautiful classical music concerts, conferences, and seminars to people in many cities across the globe. Concerts and master classes given by the late William Warfield, our beloved Schiller Institute Board Member, demonstrated the power of the poetic principle in the African American Spiritual, the Classical Lied, and in opera. Together with the immortal Sylvia Olden Lee, pianist and vocal coach, American baritone Robert McFerrin, as well as Italian opera singers Carlo Bergonzi and Piero Capucilli, the Schiller Institute’s work has inspired thousands.

Already famous our campaign to return to the “Verdi Tuning”, also known as the scientific pitch of C=256 hz, the late Norbert Brainin, first violinist of the legendary Amadeus Quartet and dear friend of Mr. Lyndon LaRouche, performed a scientific experiment comparing works at the official concert pitch of A=440 to the Verdi pitch at A=432, or C=256. This demonstration and other pedagogical demonstrations are listed here and also on the Historic Videos page.

Below is a partial list of concerts, classes, rehearsals and presentations. We will be adding links regularly, which will include the 1990s Washington, DC concert series, various music presentations from Schiller Institute conferences, and the ongoing work in bel canto singing and the science of music being done by the worldwide LaRouche Youth Movement (www.wlym.comWe did not list here most of the performances from Schiller Institute conferences individually, but they can be found on the International Conferences Page. Check back soon for new additions, and visit the main Revolution in Music Page for more articles.
