TO REMEMBER MANDELA

Time to Realise His Vision for All Mankind

The following statement, issued by Ramasimong Phillip Tsokolibane, was circulated as a leaflet and by email in South Africa, on the occasion of Mandela Day, his birthday, July 18:

As the great American President Abraham Lincoln once said, quoting the Old Testament, 'where there is no vision, the people perish.' Sometimes it is not enough, when even a great leader like Nelson Mandela has such vision, if the people fail to act on it.

Mandela, the father of our nation, saved us from bloody civil war, a war that the British Empire sought to unleash, to keep our nation from realising its great potential to lead all of Africa out of the darkness and the impoverishment of an underdevelopment enforced by that Empire and its Trans-Atlantic money system. To do so, he had to reach out to his former enemy, seeking a partnership to save the nation. Through the power of his personality, and his love for our people, both black and white, Mandela did what the Bitch Queen of the British Empire and her money masters and allies--as well as many good men and women--thought impossible: He moved to change a culture of backwardness and blind hatred, mobilising for the common good. In so doing, he embraced the vision of Lincoln in looking to the future, where former adversaries could collaborate for a common purpose so that future generations might enjoy the benefit of harmonious, peaceful development, in Lincoln's words, 'with malice toward none, with charity for all.'

Our founding father's concern was not for the present, but for what we might accomplish now, for the future. Decades and centuries of poverty and backwardness could not be wiped away overnight. Nor could the distrust--much of which was deliberately sown by the forces and allies of the British imperial system, including its assets in the United States--simply evaporate with some brave and kind words. Mandela's intent was to bind all people--not only those in South Africa--to his vision of the future, a new era of creative and productive human development, that would lift our people, and the rest of Africa and the world, to a truly human existence. This, he said repeatedly, would also improve the souls of those in the so-called advanced nations, for above all else, he realised that no real progress was possible without such improvement of the soul.

To accomplish this great vision, Mandela reached out to seek the help and friendship of other nations, including the great powers. But while he found words and promises of support, he was given no concrete help, no financial credits for the development projects he desired for our nation and the rest of Africa, not even from the administration of Bill Clinton in the United States.

He needed real partners, but found none, as the Empire of money conspired against him, as it has all such leaders of vision in Africa--Nasser, Nkrumah, Diop--and others, such as Indira Gandhi and the great American statesman and economist Lyndon LaRouche, whose international movement for peace and development, and an end to all empires, I represent in South Africa.

Today, the world faces the chaos and destruction brought on, not by any failure of Mandela, but by those who either rejected his vision or failed to partner with him to realise that vision. But at the same time, today in our allies in the BRICS alliance, especially President Putin's Russia and President Xi's China, we have such partners, with the power to change the world for the better.

The evil that is the British Empire--and its money changers in the City of London, its Wall Street satrapy, and such British agents as the American President Barack Obama--resist the global movement for peace and progress with war and terrorism, including economic terrorism, while promoting a degenerate culture of death and pessimism. It is precisely the vision of a new global order based on cooperation of sovereign nations for peace and human progress that, if implemented, can defeat and crush the British Empire for all time.

So, on this day when we remember and honour the Father of our nation, Nelson Mandela, let us resolve to fight for the common good of all mankind and to realise his vision. In so doing, we resolve that the mankind that Mandela so loved, and fought to preserve and improve, shall not perish, but shall instead prosper here on this planet, but also in the vast distances of our universe in time to come. That is our destiny, that Mandela wants us and our progeny to experience. Let us rally to the leadership of the BRICS, of Presidents Putin, Xi, and Modi, and of our own national leadership, as they fight for a new, just world economic order that Mandela envisioned, but could not realise.

The Schiller Institute, founded by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, wife of statesman and economist Lyndon LaRouche, recently held an important conference in Berlin, Germany, on precisely the theme of the urgent necessity for realising a new world order of peaceful development to end the threat of global war emanating from the dying British Empire of money.
