It is now up to the United States citizenry to save America from itself by returning to the revolutionary principles of Alexander Hamilton and the American Constitution. Vice-President Biden has now officially threatened Russia with actions that the Russians have publicly stated they must regard as being the most provocative since the Cuban Missile Crisis of October, 1962. The world was, then, years ago, almost destroyed in nuclear war, and is on the verge of that same total destruction, whether by strategic miscalculation or by mad design, now.

Survival is not merely an American concern. Worldwide financial collapse, triggered by the impending collapse of  Deutsche Bank, or banks in Italy, or in post-Brexit UK would be almost as deadly as thermonuclear war, and could happen as quickly. No “financial bailout” of the 2008 variety can possibly work. Real physical changes in the world's economies must now come about. The BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa—have requested many times that Europe and the United States join their battle for a new, just economic system based on “win-win” collaboration, but the trans-Atlantic nations continue to refuse.

The cultural crisis is the most profound. From mass suicide, facilitated by epidemic hard drug usage, to mass shootings, to menticide through “recreational drug use” and video-gaming, to non-replacement of advanced industrial  operatives such as machinists and engineers, the generations of youth are wasted and the future is stolen from them. The Presidential candidate discussion level in the American elections is the lowest in the history of the United States, precisely when the civilizational stakes are the highest, for all the world, and in all of world history.

Fortunately, there is a solution for all three crises, taken as one conjunctural crisis. Economist Lyndon LaRouche has captured the core of the writings of Alexander Hamilton’s Four Reports on credit, national banking and manufactures in Four Laws. If these LaRouche Four Laws are studied and mastered, along with the writings of Hamilton, and quickly enough by enough American citizens, the conjunctural crisis can be averted. This must be done in the next three weeks, prior to the American elections. New York City can be the platform from which this “American cultural revolution” must be launched.

This “cultural literacy project” to immediately resurrect Alexander Hamilton’s America as an ally with Russia, China, India and other nations, is a matter of life and death for the planet as a whole—not just for the United States. Thousands of New Yorkers must act in concert to change the direction of American policy. For example, if the United States Congress returned to Washington, as they did in 2008 to carry out the financial bailout, but this time to pass Glass-Steagall as a pre-emptive measure against a possible immediate financial meltdown, that would create a fundamental upshift in the world as a whole. The September 28th override of Obama's veto, upholding the previous unanimous passage of the the JASTA law in Congress, which many considered impossible, shows that this, too, could be done. The Congress should also immediately reconvene in light of the Russian response to the Obama Administration’s threat. Cooperation with Russia, especially in Syria where the battle against terrorism is in fact being won, is surely preferable to thermonuclear war.

“The new name of peace is development”—so said Pope Paul VI, and so has said the Schiller Institute for 32 years. “Development,” however, is here meant in the most expansive sense. Joint space exploration is the most rapid way to restore cultural optimism to youth worldwide. The Chinese and Russian commitments to explore the Moon are a natural jumping-off point for international cooperation that should include all nations sending youth to train as astronauts and space engineers, so that everywhere, in every nation, all children can point to women and men from their country and say, “We are changing the universe.” This will only occur because we, the citizens, in whose hands the dignity of man now rests, have changed our world and ourselves, by changing our ideas. That is what makes mankind different, indispensable to the universe as a whole, and in that sense, divine.
