March 19-22, a delegation from the Schiller Institute and EIR visited the Slovakian capital of Bratislava for intensive discussions on the urgent necessity to establish a New Bretton Woods system as conceptualized by Lyndon LaRouche. On March 20, the delegation held a seminar with interested parliamentarians, which dealt with LaRouche's analysis of the now unfolding depression in the United States, and the total incompetence of the new Bush administration to deal with the "worst systemic crisis the world has seen, probably in the last 500 years," as EIR representative Anno Hellenbroich put it. In a March 21 press conference, media representatives showed great interest in LaRouche's program, which the press agency SITA reported on.
